Vision for Alaska

America’s strength starts with Alaska.

From the trees that reach high into the skies of the Tongass National Forest, to the fish found deep in the waters of the Valdez Harbor and the legendary sockeye runs out of Bristol Bay; from the minerals in the silver rich islands of Southeast Alaska, all the way to our Arctic slopes; from the abundance of oil across our state to the grit and determination of our people, we will show America what Alaska is made of.

Action will replace talk, and whether it’s AKLNG, NPRA, ANWR, or Willow, Ambler Road, West Susitna, King Cove, or beyond, we will develop and we will build.

Our statutory Permanent Fund Dividend will be restored, and our children will attend the best schools in the country, right here at home. Bountiful salmon runs will be ensured for generations to come.

It’s my hope that you will sit down for dinner at the new house your son just bought, that you will get to brag to your friends down in the Lower 48 that your daughter just started her new business, and that your grandchild is starting kindergarten in one of the best school districts in the country – all right here in Alaska. And when people tell stories of Alaska’s gold rush days and a pipeline era gone by, your children and grandchildren will look back fondly and say, “But we grew up in Alaska during America’s golden age.”

It is time to rise again.

If this is to be the golden age of America, then let’s make sure the history books are filled with Alaska’s stories!
